wow wow wow

Here I am planning my wedding. The biggest and most important day of my life.

Today I visit my parents for my mom's b-day. I later find out about a fatal car crash that killed two people and left their child orphaned. It was all b/c of someone who didn't look before getting over into the next lane, or simply didn't check a blind spot. I cannot imagine what is going through that poor child's head or even the people that accidentally caused the crash.

I guess worrying about plates, napkins, and musical CDs is on the back burner tonight. I simply cannot stop thinking about that poor little 8 year old who is now without father nor mother. I also pray that all of my family will make it to DC safely and that Ian and I will be safe in all of our many travels in the next few weeks. You never know if that trip to a barbecue can be your last. I hope my destination wedding does not cause any crashes for those traveling and pray with all my heart that we as the drivers and they as the fellow drivers will be safe in all of our decisions while driving. But most of ALL I pray for that child who will be without momma and dadda for this life.

A Day in the Life of Cheri

Currently...my life consists of working with kids (I know I know.... what's new???) Instead of teaching them state mandaded curriculum, I get to play games and make crafts with them! AKA summer camp! And yes...as the famous McDonald's jingle goes..."I'm Lovin' It!"

After my "hard" day at camp, I tend to go to an aerobics class at the gym, or work on trying to find a job for next year.
